While working with Trump at his Bedminster, New Jersey golf resort over the weekend, White House Chief of Staff John Kelly proved that he is American through and through.
Kelly was outside of the golf club when he noticed an American flag hanging tangled up in the wind.
He immediately stopped what he was doing, found a ladder and straightened the flag so it could fly freely in the wind.
White House social media coordinator Dan Scavino Jr. tweeted a picture showing Kelly on the ladder with the quote “@WhiteHouse Chief of Staff, General John F. Kelly stops by to assist Bedminster staff in readjusting a huge American Flag…
“Once a Marine, always a Marine.”
General Kelly is a former Marine Corps four star General and a fierce supporter of our military heroes, including his son who was killed while on combat patrols in Afghanistan in 2010.
Former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee tweeted his respect for the former general after seeing the picture on Twitter.

“Here’s one of the many reasons @whitehouse Chief of Staff Gen. Kelly is a hero to me. He EARNED those stars on his shoulder by sacrifice and service.”
